We’re currently doing a series on the Sermon on the Mount, and as Growth Groups start up again for the final part of the year, we’re going to spend a few weeks looking digging through it.

And we’re going to do it slightly differently from normal – no set questions, no set structure – just reading, thinking about, discussing and applying the Bible.

On the one hand this passage is incredibly easy to understand…yet on the other it’s incredibly easy to implement. Have a listen and consider what it means for Christians to be salt and light in this world.

There are so many ideas from the Sermon on the Mount that even those who’ve never read the Bible know – turning the other cheek, loving your enemies, taking the log out of your own eye – but have you understood what the Sermon on the Mount is about? Is it about setting the bar so high we realise we can never get there? Is it some helpful rules for getting along with others?

Two areas of the Christian life that induce so much guilt – prayer & evangelism.

Christians are new people. Not because of what they have done, but because of what God has done in Jesus.
